Creative Floral Retreat, Le Poët Laval, May 29 - June 1 2025.
It’s back! Our Creative Floral Retreat of last year was such a success we absolutely knew we had to do it again. This time we have added an extra day to the agenda with extra creative floral inspired activities and some surprises, to get your creative juices flowing from a place of connection and calm. We can proudly say we are experts at curating the perfect environment and experiences to help you unwind and immerse yourself in the glow of floral inspired creation. Three and a half days and three nights to enjoy the perfect combo of doing and not doing, plenty of activities and plenty of time to chill. Our secluded location has an indoor swimming pool with a view and a huge window that opens to the elements, an exercise room (optional of course) and the most beautiful forest walks just on it’s door step. These three days of creativity will be punctuated with floral banquets, snacks and beverages, flavours of fresh local delicacies, including in season fruits and veggies, exquisite French cheese and crunchy bread. Our goal is to pleasure all of the senses. Big and cozy 100% lambswool scarf ice dyed with madder, weld and cochineal. The ice dyeing process gives these incredible and unpredictable patterns, each scarf is completely unique and special. These big scarves are knitted by me on my vintage knitting machine and then felted. the geelong lambswool is considered to be one of the highest quality wools in the world and is extremely soft and not itchy! Especially after the felting process.

Big news for the evolution of Billynou. You can now dye your own pair of Billynou overalls! It’s been a long time people have been asking how I see the growth of Billynou and I have always said I am not interested in “growth” unless it feels very authentic. Well the stars have aligned and thanks to various business adventures and new friendships I have partnered with Green Tailor in India to create a small batch of ready to dye Billynou overalls. Made from 100% organic cotton drill, these overalls are ready to dye. You will still need to appropriately mordant the overalls before dyeing but you do not have to worry about scouring or fiber content. And you can just keep them white, of course.

Welcome to my favourite colletion yet. A selection of uniquely unique pieces dyed using plant extracts and ice. Each piece is made from start to finish by me and i am especially proud of the big scarves this season. Not only are they the coziets scarves on earth, they have received the ice dyes in such a special way. As always, the emphasis is on oversized pieces made with delicious vintage fabric, natural dyes and styled with a sprinkle of flower fairy dust and a dash of garden gnome vibes. Enjoy.
Latest in the series of Billynou patterns is this very adaptable peasant gather top/dress. I love sewing and creating garments for you all but I also want to offer you the option to create your own Billynou garments at home and I think this is the perfect easy sewing project for home sewing. Depending on the size of fabric you use, this garment will usually fit a wide range of sizes and I personally think it is incredibly flattering for all body types. It is a comfortable statement piece for you and your children.
