Billynou is a brand born out of a desire for comfort and sustainability. I am passionate about clothing that is low impact and easy to wear and believe that slowness is a great recipe for anything life. Garments are a great anchor for stories and memories, in which our clothes can be woven into and is essential in encouraging a little more thoughtful consumerism. I use various materials and processes including vintage french linen and cotton, organic, low impact fibers and natural dyes and everything is proudly sewn and designed by me here in the south of France. I especially love the natural dyeing process, often described as “living colours”. They have a charm and personality very unlike chemical dyes with the much higher energetic vibration of life. And recycling a beautiful piece of vintage fabric brings me a big old sense of peace and satisfaction.

Living by the motto “we rise by lifting others” we are passionate about supporting the small creators and makers in what ever way we can. Through collaboration and partnership or just general encouragement of those we love.

Billynou is a family effort, a lifestyle, we all enjoy getting involved in the create process and each have a part to play in the Billynou universe. Motherhood and family life is a huge influence for me and if it wasn’t for becoming a mother I wonder if any of this would exist.

Billynou est une marque née d'un désir de confort et de durabilité. Je suis passionnée par les vêtements qui ont un faible impact environnemental tout en étant faciles à porter et je suis persuadée que « ralentir » est la clef dans ce domaine, mais aussi dans chaque petit geste du quotidien. Les textiles recyclés, qui ont déjà vécu, sont une ancre formidable pour les histoires et les souvenirs, dans lesquels nos vêtements peuvent être tissés . Ils sont essentiels afin d'encourager un mode de consommation un peu plus conscient. J’utilise divers procédés et matériaux, dont le lin et le coton vintage , français, biologique, des fibres et des colorants naturels. Tout est fièrement conçu et cousu dans le sud de la France. J’aime particulièrement la teinture naturelle. Souvent décrites comme «couleurs vivantes», elles ont un charme et une personnalité très différentes des colorants chimiques, avec une vibration énergétique plus intense. Et le recyclage d'un beau morceau de tissu nous apporte une sensation si réconfortante de paix et de satisfaction.

Animés par la devise «nous nous élevons en élevant les autres» je suis passionnément investis dans l'entraide entre petits créateurs et artisans. par la collaborartion et le partenarait ou simplement l’encouragement general de ceux que nous aimons.

Billynou est un effort commun, un style de vie, nous aimons tous nous impliquer dans le processus de création et chacun a un rôle à jouer dans l'univers Billynou. La maternité et la vie de famille ont une énorme influence pour moi et si ce n'était pas pour devenir mère, je me demande si tout cela existerait.
